Dot NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can grab your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no special stipulations on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
